Exiting area gives a temporary advantage, but is
really hard to pull off. The continental river edges of
the map are far away from each other.

Island show downs. So they work just like using a server
lobby for the multiplayer. One server like for one island. And
clad challenges.

Multiplayer is being designed. Many work stations and improvements have
been made. The development is making progress. I would post some screen
shots but I have nothing but proto type video game screen shots. Not the
actual gameplay.
